What's Going On This Weekend?

The First Baptist Church, located on the corner of Livingston and Edwards Streets in New Haven's East Rock neighborhood.
Tons of baby stuff and kids stuff! Clothes, toys, books, cds, dvds + videos, strollers + gear, maternity wear and MUCH more!
They will also be raffling off fantastic items, such as Music Together classes, kids' yoga classes and beauty treatments!

Autumn Fest. Ansonia Nature & Recreation Center, 10 Deerfield La. Features hay rides with a storyteller, crafts, pumpkin carving, hay maze and nature programs, refreshments. 10 AM-4 PM. Free admission. 203-736-1053

October 24 - Ivoryton
Ivortyon Village Pumpkin Festival on the Ivoryton Green. Public is encouraged to get creative with their pumpkin carving. Registration takes place on the Ivoryton Green from 9 AM-1 PM. Pumpkins then will be displayed from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. In the past, the event had more than 250 Jack-O-Lanterns decorating the Green. Entertainment and haunted woods. Free admission. 860-767-4340

October 24 - Madison
Songs For Uganda. Daniel Hand High School, 286 Green Hill Road. This benefit concert features the award winning a cappella group from DHHS "Encore," singer Kailin Garrity, and a spotlight on the Destiny Africa Children's Choir from Kampala, Uganda. Drums, dance, songs, raffle prizes and FUN! All proceeds benefit the work of nonprofit, Call To Care Uganda, and will also be shared with the orphans in the children's choir. A night of culture and fun...while helping other children globally! Special guest host for the evening is WTNH's Desiree Fontaine.6:30PM

Harvest Festival at the Golden Age of Trucking Museum, 1101 Southford Rd. Pumpkin patch, decorate a pumpkin, costume parade, Dimples the Clown will be there, refreshments and truck rides. 11 AM - 3 PM. Adults $8, seniors $7, children $5, $20 family. 203-577-2181

24th annual UNICEF Children’s Festival. Jones Family Farms, 130 Beardsley Road. One of our most exciting weekends. Boo at the Zoo: Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, 1875 Noble Avenue. This spooktacular afternoon includes music, harvest hay rides, face painters, our Scarecrow competition, and Haunted Farmyard, which is guaranteed to delight and fright all those who pass through!!! If you are under 12, in costume and are accompanied by a paying adult, you get in to the Zoo for FREE! “Boo at the Zoo” is free with admission to the Zoo.
