History-of-the-Giant Hike. The Sleeping Giant Park, Mt. Carmel Avenue (Route 10). The Sleeping Giant Park Association has scheduled a History-of-the-Giant Hike for the public on Sunday, March 29 (no rain date). Hike along with us and learn about the fascinating early twentieth-century history of the Sleeping Giant Park. Meet at the bulletin board by the kiosk near the park entrance, at 1:30 PM. The hike is expected to last about three hours. Wear comfortable supportive shoes. Bring snacks and water, if you like. The hike is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is not necessary. Out of consideration for other hikers, do not bring pets. For directions and further information, go to www.sgpa.org.
