Mommy & Baby Support Group
Looking for information, encouragement and support?
July 14 – August 11, Wednesdays, 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Join us for a mommy and baby support group and meet other moms interested in breastfeeding as they begin the beautiful, but often times challenging experience of breastfeeding. Share your tips about how to feed a sleepy baby, positioning, latch/nipple care, newborn care, and adjusting to the “new normal” Open to all moms -- formula, no formula, co-sleeper, crib sleeper, sling wearer, and stroller pushers alike! Toddlers/siblings welcomed.

Childbirth Preparation Classes
There is no single right way to give birth! Choose your path after hearing all options. Classes are offered in small group settings of three to five women and their partners. Small classes ensure your voice and questions will be heard. Classes are suitable for those planning to give birth with midwives or doctors, at a birth center, in a hospital, or at home.

Nutrition and exercise in Pregnancy
Stages of labor
Coping and relaxation techniques
Positions for Labor and Birth
How to be a good labor support person/role of the support person
Pain relief options: making informed choices
Breastfeeding

Fun With Art Fundamentals, Ages: 8-12

Monday, July 12-Friday, July 16th, 4:15pm-6:15pm

Fun With Art Fundamentals will enable children to expand their art knowledge and explore variety of media and techniques. This class offers young artists an opportunity to develop observational and technical skills through an in-depth exploration of mixed media. They will discuss the 8 building blocks of design via drawing with pencil, charcoal, ink and pastels while exploring line, shape, value, perspective and proportion. Drawing assignments include the study of various artists and a composition of one of their works.

Celebrate the Wilderness, Ages 8-13
Monday, August 16th-Friday August 20th, 9:00am-3:00pm
Workshop $350member / $370non-member
We will be hiking on local trails, making eco-art, discussing wilderness survival techniques, and learning about local flora and fauna. Please make sure that your children are not dressed in their best?..exploring nature can be messy! Children should show up with a bagged lunch, and small snack.

Color, Form and Architecture, Ages: 12-16
Monday, July 26th-Friday, July 30th
$120member / $140non-member
Build models, scrap piece sculptures, and more. Your child will explore basic shapes in architecture and how they are reflected in buildings and other structures. From there, the student will begin experimenting with the transformation of those forms. Color and color theory will be discussed and applied to basic architectural concepts.
